Description

Strengthen your pelvic floor and tone your body!

From leading Australian physiotherapist Michelle Kenway comes this revolutionary pelvic floor exercise DVD 'Inside Out Strength!'

The DVD features two exercise sections which will help you to strengthen your pelvic floor, tone your body, exercise with confidence, increase your lean muscle and improve weight management, boost your strength and energy and just generally feel amazing about the way you look and feel!

For all women who want to get fit we strongly urge that you take care of your pelvic floor and invest in the Michelle Kenway DVD - before you join a gym, before you do 'boot camp' - so you can familiarise yourself with your pelvic floor and start strengthening it. Michelle's DVD is not just about exercises you should do, it's about exercises you shouldn't do especially if you have a weak pelvic floor or if you've had surgery or prolapse.

Physiotherapist Mary O'Dwyer says "This month a 46 year old woman attended the clinic for help with worsening stress incontinence and a front vaginal wall prolapse. Six weeks earlier she started a boot camp challenge to improve fitness and strength and help with weight loss. Early in the program she noticed increased leaking and eventually a bulge at the vaginal entrance. When the challenging exercise repeatedly raised intra abdominal pressure (sit ups, planks, running, star jumps), her pelvic floor muscles (PFMs) lacked the strength and endurance to protect her pelvic organs from being repeatedly pushed downwards". Sadly this woman did not realise her pelvic floor was so weak that as soon as she started her 'boot camp' training she would prolapse. We urge all women to exercise with caution, this DVD will show you exactly what you need to do.

do not waste your money on this expensive DVD,
it has taught me nothing about prolapse and exercises to perform, it shows you how to modify pelvic floor exercises (Posted on 2 July 2015)

Really helpful and informative. Knowledge is power as they say and I am pleased that I have been able to help manage my prolapse and exercise safely with this information. Would recommend, Michelle K has a very nice approach, and is very informative. I feel I have learned more from t his than many years of one to one appointments with a Physiotherapist - maybe that is my problem that I find it difficult to exercises on a one to one out of embarrassment more than anything. Having suffered 2 prolapses and having gone through a hysterectomy I did not want further surgery. I have lost 2 stones in weight, and I am determined to help manage my prolapse - I just can't go through any more surgery any more and I want to look after myself. Wish I have seen this book years ago! (Posted on 22 September 2014)

Great explanation to help protect your pelvic floor Review by Jaycie

I came across Michelle Kenway on a you-tube video a few days post-op after pelvic floor repair and her advice about recovering well made so much sense but wasn't anything I was told at the hospital. When I started to exercise I wanted to make sure I didn't do anything to put myself at risk from further prolapse, so I was delighted to find Michelle had made a DVD. The first part is a clear explanation about how to perform the exercises and then the second part is a workout. At first glance it seems very slow, but actually the exercises are just very controlled so you do actually feel the effect they are having. During the workout she also offers some alternative positions for anyone who has back, knee or wrist problems as well as making sure they are pelvic floor safe. She also offers ways to make them more difficult, such as by introducing weights safely.
Great DVD for anyone who wants to make sure they exercise correctly and protect their pelvic floor. (Posted on 3 April 2014)

Had hysterectomy 10 weeks ago.. Very easy to follow showing two different options to follow.. Michelle was very good explaining things and showing the correct techniques.. However for the price thought it was too expensive, and expected more exercises.. (Posted on 2 April 2014)

Helped me feel confident about exercising again. Would recommend Review by Sharon Melville

I was aware after my hysterectomy that I was more prone to suffering from a prolapse so I have made a concerted effort to strengthen my pelvic floor. This has meant following a strict regime of kegel exercises and watching my weight. The weight has been the most difficult since my hysterectomy.
I was conscious that I should avoid certain exercises and this DVD has helped me feel confident with the exercises and not too afraid of hurting my pelvic floor. I would recommend this DVD if like me you are wanting to handle your own rehab following hysterectomy (or other pelvic surgery such as prolpase), (Posted on 26 July 2013)

This is an excellent exercise DVD, simple to use and easy to follow, lovely physio instruction Review by Jill

I found this excellent DVD after seeing Michelle Kenway's You Tube videos to help women with prolapse and pelvic floor problems. I contacted her at her website (www.pelvicexercises.com.au) and she referred me here to buy in the UK. I have had ongoing prolapse problems for the last 12 years and have now had 2 prolapse operations. I was never once told that the exercises I was doing in the gym could make my problems worse. I really liked the explanations about how to do the exercises at the start of this DVD, I have never heard these sensible instructions before. I try to use this twice a week and I feel confident that now I am not injuring my pelvic floor as I exercise. Thanks this is an great exercise DVD that has helped me get back in shape without hurting myself, now I am waiting for another one to be released Jill (Posted on 15 November 2012)

Best info Review by Anne C

I had a hysterectomy a year ago and since then I seem to have piled on the weight. I decided to do something about it and have tried to exercise more, however I read about a woman who had had a hysterectomy and then went to a Boot Camp, and ended up with a prolapse. That's just insult to injury. I need to get in shape, but no one at the gym could help me, they all seemed a bit young and I felt they didn't really understand. I am well aware that if a woman gets a prolapse - there is no going back. So I did a lot of online research and I found this. I found that with this information I am able to exercise and do it properly and it has made me more confident - especialy with going back to the gym (I am no good at exercising at home). I am able to exercise to my limit and take care of my remaining organs. I also pointed out to the Gym instructor that sit ups were a no-no for me. Highley recommended for exercsing properly following surgery (or not - I think this is suitable for all woman). I've now lost 17lbs and I feel better than I have for many years, I am also kegel exercising like mad to stop any post-hysterectomy weakness, (Posted on 7 October 2012)

Does this DVD show how to work with weights? I would like to strengthen for bone health, but don't want to make my prolapse worse.

(I stopped doing weights at the gym, and my prolapse improved, but I would like to learn how to lift safely, even if it is light weights)
