Why Use a Toilet Stool?
The way we sit whilst pooping is all wrong, if it was an exam paper it would have a giant ‘FAIL’ stamp next to it. Sitting upright with your legs flat on the floor leaves a kink in the upper rectum which in turn prevents your poop making a smooth journey out of your anal canal. This is why you might find yourself straining and pushing when you go to the loo. Centuries of repeating this habit tells us this is normal, but it’s not! You shouldn’t be straining on the toilet; toilet stools take the strain out of doing your business.
Straining on the loo is a leading cause of pelvic organ prolapse and it also causes haemorrhoids and bladder weakness, so if you do find yourself pushing for all your might when you ‘go’, a toilet stool is the answer to your toilet troubles.
