Incredibly effective pressure sore mattress overlay, for a peaceful night’s sleep

The Pressure sore relief pad delivers a soft, easy to use and cost effective way to treat those individuals who are susceptible to pressure sores, allowing them a restful and peaceful night’s sleep anywhere.

Because of its size, the pressure sore bed overlay can be transported easily and in any travelling case allowing the user complete freedom, unlike many other products.

The mattress overlay offers 24-hour protection from bed to (foam based) chair using the same pad and offers the perfect cushion for pressure sores and pressure ulcers. The thousands of polyester fibres in the multiple layers of the pad combine to conform to the natural body contours in both supine and seated positions thereby offering pressure relief well below that of normal capillary blood flow. This means that skin breakdown, shearing and friction are simply diminished.

Available in 2 weight bearing loads:

Size 3 (paediatric use only): A 3-layer pad measuring 100cm x 80cm/39″ x 31″ with a weight-bearing load of approximately 17 stone/108 kilos

Size 4. A thicker 4-layer pad measuring 100cm x 80cm/39″ x 31″ with a weight-bearing load of approximately 21 stone/159 kilos

Level 4 is also recommended for patients who are 80kg or lighter. Whilst they may only be slight, if they are particularly bony the thicker (size 4) pad will provide extra protection and comfort around the joints.

Responding to feedback from healthcare professionals, we've also introduced an industry-approved vapour permeable cover. This cover allows for easy cleaning and wiping, making it ideal for users with incontinence-related issues. The Cover can be purchased separately here on this page.
