Reliable Blood Pressure Monitor for Home Use
The Medisana BU 510 Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor gives you completely accurate readings of your blood pressure and can even show you an average reading based on all previous readings. Just like the blood pressure monitors used at the doctor’s, it comes with an upper arm cuff that inflates to take your reading. The reading is then displayed on the large, easy to read LED screen.
It has a memory for 2 separate users, each storing up to 90 readings and it can fit upper arms from 22cm – 36cm in circumference. The display is extra large and easy to read and measurements are classified according to the World Health Organisation evaluation system, using a traffic-light colour scale with the colours highlighting any cause for concern with your results. The green, yellow and red colours enable you to immediately see whether the readings are within or outside the normal range.
The clear display shows your blood pressure reading (systolic over diastolic) as well as your pulse rate and the date and time. It also displays which user is using the monitor – user 1 or user 2 and comes in a handy drawstring bag for safekeeping.
Keeping an eye on your blood pressure is vital, especially as you get older. High blood pressure contributes to a multitude of worrying health issues including stroke, heart attack, and even dementia. The option to take your blood pressure at home means you can keep a close eye on your health and ensure any medications you are taking are doing their job.
Wrist or Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor, Is There a Difference?
We offer a range of both wrist and upper arm blood pressure monitors. Upper arm blood pressure monitors are recommended for older adults and diabetics, whilst our range of wrist BPM’s tend to be more compact, allowing you to take them with you anywhere and get readings quicker and easier. Upper arm BPM’s sit closer to and in line with the heart, so they are the preferred choice by health professionals for their unquestionable accuracy.
