Nonoxynol 9 is a common chemical used in contraceptive products, however it has been shown to have some unwelcome side effects such as irritation of vaginal and anal skin – when the skin is irritated, this makes it more likely that you can become infected with HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. ContraGel Green contains no Nonoxynol 9, meaning that you can use your contraceptive gel safe in the knowledge that it is kind to your body.
