Try Contam’s easy and discreet stress incontinence management for yourself!

Incontinence can really make life difficult – having to constantly think about whether you’ll wet yourself creates a huge amount of worry and embarrassment that can stop you from living life to the fullest. The treatment options available for incontinence don’t help with this, as wearing pads and diapers can make you feel really self-conscious. Pessaries are an effective way of treating both incontinence and prolapse, but they can be difficult to insert and use. Contam have come up with a much easier solution by combining the simple effectiveness of a stress incontinence pessary with the familiarity of tampons.

Contam Normal is a bullet-shaped pessary for stress incontinence. It sits in the vagina just like a tampon and its specially designed shape raises the vaginal wall, shutting the urethra enough to prevent involuntary loss of urine. You will still be able to urinate normally but can go about your day without worrying about leaks, all completely discreetly; no more dressing to conceal bulky pads! The Contam Normal also activates your pelvic floor muscles, subtly strengthening them throughout the day to help further reduce your symptoms. This starter pack contains one of each of the most popular sizes – mini, regular and extra. Try them all to find your perfect fit!

contam diagramHow to use Contam pessaries

  • Wash your hands thoroughly and remove the pessary from its bag
  • Soak the pessary in warm water for about 1 minute, then gently squeeze. It will become soft and elastic.
  • Contam pessaries are inserted in the same way as menstrual tampons, so find a comfortable position on the toilet or with a leg raised

For incontinence: insert the pessary deep into your vagina, then pull it back slightly so that it’s within reach of your fingers
For prolapse: insert the pessary as deeply as possible into your vagina to support your uterus

  • If you find insertion uncomfortable or difficult, try using a vaginal moisturiser such as Gynomunal or Regelle
  • Make sure that the removal thread is always outside of your vagina, as with a standard tampon
  • To remove, gently pull on the removal thread.

Give these a try - they work for me. Review by Sonia Philpott
Product Rating
I refused to have an operation for my prolapse 5 years ago and I found these when my husband and I lived in Germany 2 years ago. I am delighted they are now available here in the UK, they are light and offer the right amount of support I need (I have a 3rd degree cystocele). I get lots of wear out of one, and the medium suits me fine. I find the small can become dislodged, but the med/large gives the right lift I need to prevent the ache. I still work and I need to have the support, if I don't the pain and ache of the dragging is quite debilitating. I urge other women with prolapse to give these a try. You won't look back. Life saver Review by Tootensweet
Product Rating
Well pads never helped me. In fact I'm allergic to them. NHS OBGYN at best were unsympathic. I do do kegels using the kegelmaster but continue to have leaks if stood up for too long ( i would of benefitted from this years ago as kegels on their own have always been difficult and now painful).

I was left with a small hernia of my c-section which now after two decades affects walking, a low cervix especially during periods that makes me believe i do have a prolapse, but all the NHS tests for or care about is whether your bladder valve is functioning and if you empty bladder completely when you leak. I dribble. Saying 'textbook' you can't have a prolapse with a c-section. As a woman i feel descriminated. Its left me at times almost house bound. Why am i saying all this? I know I'm not alone.

This product is simply amazing. By my second day of use it had made a difference. I felt 'normal' which I haven't felt for years. That my bladder and muscles are now in there correct position. This should be marketed wide, tax free and available on NHS. Xx (Posted on 12 September 2016)

Life changing Review by Runwendy

Just been for my 1st run without leaks for 10 years . Tried so many other products in the past and this is the only one that has worked. NHS offered surgery but I have read too many horror stories about complications.
This product is truly life changing. I can now run, trampoline and do high impact exercise without worrying about leaking. Thank you (Posted on 29 May 2017)

Haven't tried my Contam kit yet Review by Oversixty
Product Rating
Haven't tried my Contam kit yet.
The theory seems ok - but was a bit disappointed that the leaflet was all in German.
Have copied the instructions from the stressnomore website which will have to do.
However like other reviewers i am a bit concerned that each Pessary is only supposed to last a week with daily washing, if I've understood the system correctly. This would make the cost prohibitive. That's mostly why I haven't rushed to try it out. (Posted on 20 September 2017)

You're reviewing: Contam Normal Vaginal Pessary Starter Set

Product Questions

Would this be suitable for a grade 1/2 rectocele?
I recently bought a contam starter set. On initial use had to give up as the pessary was difficult to insert and was making me sore. With a little lubricant I have managed to insert One but it does not seem to stay in. Is this because it is too small?
Does this mean that one pessary can only be used for a week? So if you were to use one once a day, you would need a new one every week?
Is this safe to use during pregnancy? As in the material it's made from won't harm the baby?
Are they suitable for multiple usage, otherwise, it is going to be very expensive
