Monitor your health with the Wristech Blood Pressure Monitor with Irregular Heartbeat Detector
Are you tired of having to visit the doctor surgery for regular blood pressure checks? Monitor your health accurately from the comfort of your own home with the safe and accurate Wristech Blood Pressure Monitor with Irregular Heartbeat Detector.
Using the oscillometric method of measuring blood pressure, the Wristech Blood Pressure Monitor with Irregular Heartbeat Detector provides quick results with clinically proven accuracy. The monitor provides results for blood pressure within 3 mmHg and a pulse accuracy of 5%.
Using a four coloured chart printed on the side of the LCD display, your monitor can detect Stage 2 Hypertension, Stage 1 Hypertension, Pre-hypertension and Normal blood pressure readings.
The cuff measures 13.5 cm (5.3 ins) to 19.5 cm (7.7 ins) to fit most wrists. The cuff uses a pressure range of 0 to 300 mmHg, a blood pressure range of 40 to 280 mmHg and measures pulse between 40 and 199 beats per minute. The LCD display can show up to the last 20 readings. The Wristech Blood Pressure Monitor with Irregular Heartbeat Detector will automatically shut off around 1 minute after the reading.
Why use a wrist worn blood pressure monitor rather than one on the upper arm?
Wrist blood pressure monitors are sensitive to body position so make sure that the arm and wrist are at heart or chest level level. You will find that a blood pressure reading from the wrist may record a slightly higher blood pressure measurement than if one on the upper arm is used. This is because wrist arteries are narrower and the arteries in the upper arm are deeper below the surface of the skin.
Who uses a wrist blood pressure monitor?
- If mobility is impaired, getting a cuff onto your upper arm may be difficult, so a wrist worn monitor is easier to use.
- If your upper arm is too large for the cuff, a wrist reading is easy
- If you simply cannot bear the pressure of an inflated upper arm blood pressure cuff this wrist option is far easier and less stressful!
As with any blood pressure reading being taken at home, there will be a slight difference between a home reading and one taken in a GP surgery, or hospital. But with this monitor it is a perfect way to get an overall picture of your blood pressure reading over a period of time. Obviously it's better too that the readings will be done in the comfort of your own home, away from the stresses and strains of a GP surgery!
Never use home-testing monitors as a replacement for professional opinion. At home monitors and tests should be used to supplement regular readings and keep track of personal health. Always consult your doctor if there are problems.
