The Sitfit Plus is a perfect combination of a sitting wedge and an air-filled balance pad, to relieve upper body tension and keep your posture straight and aligned. Its ergonomically enhanced and comfortable shape provides you with better thigh support for longer sitting periods, whilst maintaining active sitting.

Because the SitFit Plus promotes active and dynamic sitting, it will help to relieve any upper body tension. This cushion works your back muscles in a healthy way without exercising. SitFit Plus enhances upright posture; therefore after a long day sitting you won’t feel crippled and uncomfortable like many people do. The cushion is also suitable to exercise the musculature of your back and pelvic floor, so sitting down will actually become a beneficial activity to your body! We also stock the smaller sized Sissel SitFit which is recommended for children. It has been shown to help restless sitters and those with ADHD or dyspraxia to concentrate while doing homework or sitting in the classroom.

The cushion comes pre-inflated, so there's no need to spend your time inflating it beforehand. Simplicity of design and simplicity of use! The cushion comes complete with an exercise poster so you can enhance your home workouts. It also comes with a pump to adjust to individually desired pressure should you require it.

Great for sciatica and nerve issue

I was looking to replace my work chair with an exercise ball and came across this option. I suffer from sciatica never down one leg and it is due to sitting a lot all day and posture of course. This has been a life saver. It has taken some getting use to like anything new.. but really like it... it helps with stability and lower back and hip movement... And shopping with stress no more is always very easy and the customer service is great.

Good quality... perhaps too good!

Advantages

Seems very strongly made, good quality, and useful for its intended purpose.

Disadvantages

Do not overinflate the cushion initially! The air valve on the cushion is so strong that it is basically impossible to get air out, even when trying the 'trick' they suggest of leaning the pump nozzle to the side. After receiving the cushion I put some more air into it without properly trying it first - I've now realised that I overinflated it, but I can't get the air out (even after speaking to Sissel customer service), so I'm going to have to wait weeks, or more likely months, for it to deflate naturally :-(

Helped with my lower back pain within the first day of use. It's important to use the active sitting side for shorter periods to build up your strength. I use it for a short period and turn it around to the other side to sit for longer (as recommended) and really helps my back. You don't need to add any air as it is pre-inflated to the correct level.

Advantages

this is a godsend if you are in pain with your back and legs. and if you rock it gently from side to side it eases the stiffness which sets in.

Disadvantages

the pump needle is in a nifty place in the top of the T handle. but I had a lot of trouble trying to pull the handle off as I thought it was inside the pump.

Wished I had discovered it ...

Advantages

Very happy with the Sissel Sitfit plus. I am addicted... I suffer from Lumbar spondylosis and it is such a help when I remain sitting for more than half an hour. Excellent accessory when working from home and very easy and light to move from room to room. Also the advantage is the little pump delivered with it, but really it does not need to be adjusted as it has got the right pressure and remains so on long term use.

Excellent product -- pricey but ...

Advantages

Very comfortable and does what it says on the tin -- encourages active sitting. I like you how can flip it around, so one way gives you quite active sitting,and the other way around is more stable but still very comfortable. Clever design for the air pump, with the nozzles incorporated into the handle.

Disadvantages

A little unclear how to get the nozzle out of the handle without breaking a small plastic tab. I'm not clear if the small tab is there specifically to be broken off?

Back for more!

This is my second purchase as I managed to have a rip in the first one. Clearly, I DO like it since I’ve bought it again. I find it particularly helpful when the sciatic pain kicks in. It also helps after a shopping trip when my lower back can hurt just from moving heavy bags in and out of a trolley. I have taken it on cottage holidays with me when seating can be an issue.

Promising

I have hip and knee joint problems, also joint hypermobility, lower back sins and sciatica. I am trying to improve my mobility but difficult when in pain. This cushion seems to helping. After reading reviews I am gradually increasing usage. I am convinced this is easing lower back pain, which in turn means I can move more. It does feel a little strange at first but not an issue. I have also used the cushion on different parts of my back and shoulders as any increase in movement must be of benefit. No overnight huge improvement but I am pleased with purchase. Small improvements add up and give me hope.

For anyone with sciatica and lower back pain, this is essential!

This support cushion is a lifesaver. It is very comfortable and I think it has worked wonders. I've had serious back pain for 10 months now and I was unable to sit without pain, then I also developed what I thought was sciatica. My GP said I might have caused the sciatica because I was holding my body wrongly and I trapped a nerve. Standing and walking and getting around was no problem. However try as I might to sit it was excruciating. I could not afford regular visits to the chiropractor and I felt better for a few days, then it got bad again, so I tried to home exercise and try some changes. This has been brilliant and I haven't had sciatica for 3 weeks now (fingers crossed I'm rid of it). I also find I si differently on it, wit feet flat on the floor instead of crossing my legs, so I suppose this is all good for my posture. SO, wouldn't be without my sitfit plus wobble cushion or wedge cushion (If people ask me I don't quite know what to call it...) but it is brilliant. For anyone with sciatica and lower back pain, this is essential! KIrsty
