Lower back pain affects 1 in 10 people worldwide and it can be incredibly debilitating for all those that suffer with it. It may be congenital or occur due to injury and lifestyle choices; however, just going about our day to day lives can result in spinal compression, which can lead to pain, discomfort and reduced physical activity. Spinal compression naturally occurs as the force of gravity pulls our bones downwards when we stand or sit, which shortens the back, leading to pressure and swelling of the nerves located within.
Reduce spinal pressure, decompress the lumbar joints & stabilise the lower back to alleviate pain & improve mobility
Wearing a lumbar belt can help unload some of the weight normally placed on the lower back, thereby reducing pressure on the spine's joints, discs, and muscles. By reducing spinal pressure, a lumbar belt can also alleviate any painful tension in the muscles. Indeed, the compression on the abdomen means there is less pressure on the lower back, discs, ligaments, muscles and spine and it provides enough support so that healing can start to occur. When we refer to the lumbar region of the back, we mean the lower part of the spine, which consists of five vertebrae and is situated between the pelvis and the ribs. A lumbar belt is specifically designed to treat pain that is situated in this area, massaging the spine and supporting muscles, whilst targeting the pain at its core. Removing pressure from the lumbar spine and naturally decompressing the lumbar joints, a back support belt ensures optimum comfort and long-lasting pain relief. In addition, it externally stabilises the lower back to treat and alleviate pain when you’re on the move, carrying out strenuous tasks, or merely going about your day-to-day business.
Treat & alleviate chronic & acute back pain, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, poor posture, scoliosis & more
The LombaStart Lumbar Belt has been expertly designed to alleviate and treat a variety of different conditions, including chronic and acute back pain, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis (where the spinal column narrows & compresses the spinal cord), poor posture, a slipped disc and scoliosis. In addition, wearing this back support will improve flexibility and mobility as well as prevent unwanted movement within the spine. Intricately constructed from fine quality, elasticated fabric, this premium back support features a beaded selvedge and increased elasticity in the abs and hip area for optimum comfort. Easy to use and wear, it features finger loops that enable you to wrap the support around you with ease and there is an additional strap to provide extra support and instant relief in the lumbar area when tightened.
Discreet and lightweight, the thin fabric and seamless sewing technology showcases the fine quality construction of the luxurious LumbaStart Lumbar Support. Complete with integrated steel back strays which can be conformed to the patient’s lordosis (inward curvature of the spine), this ergonomic back support ensures optimum efficacy, particularly in the treatment for chronic and acute back pain. Available in two different heights (21cm or 26cm), each with 5 waist size options, it promises a customised fit and maximum comfort, even when worn for prolonged periods. Simply adjust the belt so that base stops at the crease between the buttocks, then centre the belt around the spine (the spine should be in the middle of the back panel). Finally, secure the two parts of the belt so that it applies the desired compression. Use the additional strap to add more compression if necessary and adjust the level of compression throughout the day.
Machine washable at 30 degrees, the LumbaStart Lumbar Belt can be worn and washed regularly for optimum hygiene. The perfect alternative to painkillers, it is proven to work and has no adverse side effects!
