Incontinence, Prolapse or Pelvic Floor Pain?

If this is you, then you need to know right now that this won't just 'go-away'. It's not an inevitable result of childbirth or ageing but when your pelvic floor muscles become weak it can't support your internal organs effectively. More than 1 in 3 women suffer from consequences of weakened pelvic floor muscles, which can lead to incontinence or prolapse.

Laughter leaks? Damp panties? Maybe you coughed or sneezed and leaked urine - you thought it was an on-off or that you should have gone to the loo sooner, but over the weeks and the months you'll find those accidents become more frequent. You may resign yourself to panty pads to protect your clothing, but your pelvic floor muscles are crying out for attention!

This DVD is where you to start taking back control.

Did you know poor posture can exacerbate your problem? A strong pelvic floor isn't just your kegel muscles; it's the core muscles of your abdominal basket too. In this DVD we'll show you how to achieve optimal posture to get the best results!

As well as posture the four separate workout programmes give step-by-step instructions for isolating and strengthening the musculature of your pelvic floor and abdominal basket. They're instructor led so you can understand what you're doing and why you're doing it! Once you are familiar with the exercises you can skip to the time-efficient versions. Use this DVD in conjunction with your pelvic floor exercise machine to reduce, if not eliminate the problems of weak pelvic floor muscles. This is a region 2 DVD.

Tasha Mulligan: Physical Therapist and Personal Trainer

The Hab-it Pelvic Floor Exercise DVD is presented by Tasha Mulligan. Tasha is an experienced physical therapist. an athletic trainer and a mother of three. She has first hand experience of the symptoms of a weakened pelvic floor, so she readily understands the confusion, fear, and frustration other women experience. Tasha details how she found good, incisive information not easily accessible when she had her pelvic floor problems. Worse still she realised that many women were willing to accept the damage to their bodies not realising that there were simple techniques that would correct and strengthen the pelvic floor and dispense with the need for any surgical intervention. This DVD is designed as if Tasha is conducting a physical therapy session. It is her effort to educate the millions of women who suffer with a weak pelvic floor, prolapse and the associated problems and to empower them to change and strengthen and resolve their issues.

Should be given to every new mum! Review by Hannah

I had my baby girl last October, fast delivery with forceps and suffered a third degree tear, cuts and bladder prolapse. I have been doing this DVD and using a kegel 8 machine and things are pretty much back to normal. Great DVD (Posted on 27 February 2013)

Clear detailed advice and simple exercises that work. Review by Jill
Product Rating
I bought this after noticing I had weaker muscle control and worries about accidental leaks so the plan is to improve the pelvic floor and supporting muscles now and avoid bigger problems. I am working daily on the first routine - only 10mins each morning once learnt and will continue through the 4 workouts as strength builds. My lower belly is already flatter and lower back stronger so I automatically stand and sit in a better posture.
Excellent educational section too which really all mums, fitness fans and over 40s should see. Thank you to the Kegel8 team for recommending this. (Posted on 11 July 2013)

great information Review by BettyX

I was diagnosed with a prolpase following the birth of my daughter last year. I was devastated but decided that because I wanted more children I would do all I can naturally to help my body heal from prolapse. I followed these exercises and found them very useful, I can safely say that for the moment I cannot feel my prolapse, but I monitor it closely. I am now 4 months pregnant with my seconds, and hope that with my exercising I will not prolapse again. Fingers crossed. (Posted on 7 February 2013)

I would recommend this Review by Rennie

Through the Hab-it DVD I discovered that I would not necessarily need surgery (and, in fact, surgery may not be the best idea for prolapse anyway). The best thing to do was to strengthen my pelvic floor through exercise. I also learned that the pelvic floor is one of those things that gets neglected, yet it is an important part of our anatomy we should pay attention to. Really, every woman should take care of her pelvic floor.
If you have incontinence issues (a common issue after childbirth) or prolapse, I would highly recommend this DVD. The DVD only needs to be done 3 times a week for 6 weeks to complete the program and see real results. I would recommend this even if you don’t seem to have any issues following childbirth, I would still recommend completing this exercise program after each birth (and before, too!) Helping me avert surgery Review by Foxy
Product Rating
After having been diagnosed with a bladder prolapse two years ago I have been desperately trying to find ways of improving the situation and averting surgery. The kegel8 machine has been invaluable, but I also bought this dvd to strengthen more than just my pelvic floor muscles. Its early days, but the exercises seem to be having a positive impact. The dvd is simple to follow , has four different short straightforward workouts and also time efficient versions for when you have mastered them. A resistance band is included but the exercises also require a gym ball to sit on and a smaller ball to squeeze ( although these can be substituted with a cushion and a chair)

StressNoMore says - Thank you for your feedback here. This DVD is one of our favourites too, and we know this system works because Tasha Mulligan managed to correct her own prolapse with the help of these exercises, we encourage women to explore all exercise and strengthening possibilities when they have been diagnosed with a prolapse, because there are many things that can improve the prolapse and stop it worsening. Surgery is not always the answer and many women feel empowered when they are able to rehabilitate their pelvic floor and get it strong and functioning again. (Posted on 12 March 2014)

Excellent information. Highly recommended. Review by Trudi

Excellent information. I learned more watching this DVD and following the exercises than I have done in the last 3 years with the NHS. I finally feel there is some sort of hope - its a bit like Physician heal Thyself - but being proactive and having a direct action on my own rehab and pelvic floor rehabilitation has been a very powerful journey for me.
Maybe hand a DVD like this at the GP surgery to those who really want to make a difference and avoid surgery at all costs?????????
Highly recommended. (Posted on 10 February 2015)

Very informative Review by GlitterB

I am not a fan of exercise DVDs as I have recycled more to the local charity shop than I care to remebber. However, as the nurse said she thought I had a slight prolapse when I went for my smear teat I knew that I had to do something. In this did the Physio guides us through corrective exercises, posture pointers and more. Really it is very helpful I have had to change all aspects of my life as well as start kegel exercises with a Kegal 8. I was concerned that the physio might grate on me,but not at all. She is very watchable and the fact that she has managed to cure her own prolapse gives her credibility in my mind.
I follow the exercises religiously and I wholeheartedly recommend this to other 50 something's like me who refuse to 'put up with up', or be butchered with surgery that s far as I can see has more problems than it solves!

All women should know Review by Irena

I had a bladder prolapse after my first delivery, which got better over time. I have much worse bladder/uterine prolapse after my second delivery. I bought this DVD in hope it will help and after a one week I can feel the difference. I have got regime from a gynae physio, but I feel this program is better. It is easy to follow, giving me guidance in the comfort of my home. It is discreet and easy to fit in my busy schedule. (Posted on 8 June 2016)

I have a Kegel 8 so I don't necessarily need to know how to exercise, but I found the posture pointers absolutely invaluable. Very clear and easy to follow, although I was initially put off by the YouTube films because the soundtrack was so bad, this is professional quality and no problems.
I would recommend this to other women looking to strengthen their pelvic floor. (Posted on 20 June 2016)

Product Questions

I was wanting to know do you need to have a kegel exerciser to use the Hab-it dvd, or can it be done without? Thanks
I am a fairly fit woman of 83 and after a horrendously traumatic birth of twins. In 1960 when one died and I was damaged by use of high forceps suffering a vesico vaginal fistula. The babies together weighed 15 pounds ! The fistula healed but left the pelvic floor very weak! I have had several operations for prolapse but now have annoying stress incontinence getting worse due to age! Can you assure me that using your product and following the DVD would help at this stage in life ? I was offered the various surgical options but am very reluctant as have read bad reviews of after effects! And anything that can cause cystitis is a non starter !

Your answer will be w great help. Thank you. June
I have just given birth and suffered with a prolapse. I am desperate for some help and I do not want to have any surgery will this product help me. I know I should have been doing my kegel exercises but I didn't do them as diligently as I should and now I feel that my body is being punished, please help.
