Ok, so we saw this item n loved it! We brought it opened it up noticed the cave top didn't stay up due to a plastic tube being broke, so we sent it back and got a replacement. We same happend again!! Gutted, we contacted the seller and spoke to the very helpful assistant then I had a light bulb idea!! We got 2 1/2 metres of thin metal curtain pelm rod, measured it cut it n taped ends unpicked a tiny bit of the sewn side on both tubes took the broken one out n the fully tacked tube out replaced with the pelm glued to seal the tiny hole, l then manipulated the metal rods n hey presto an amazing cave I do have step by step pics if n e one wants to see them just msg me on [email protected] Il send u pics it took all of 5 mins n the kids love it( 3 Lhasa apso) (Posted on 19 November 2015)Product Rating

Brilliant, although I think the sizing is a bit out because my dog is a Lab and she loves this but I don't think it would fit a 'giant' breed???? It is snug and she likes to use it and snuggle down under the canopy bit. She has been crated previously so I think she likes the 'cave' security thing.Product Rating

I love the idea behind this product but don't think it quite matched my expectations. My main quibble is that I have to keep sliding the support poles back into position or it won't stay up....most of the time it is flat down like the folded hood of a child's buggy. He absolutely adores it, prefers it top free during the day so he can sprawl out, but top on in the evening so he can snuggle.
He is a large lurcher and it's the perfect size.
I thought at first it was maybe a little expensive....but worth every penny.
Nice and easy to assemble & to strip off for washing.

The bed itself is lovely and snuggly and our dog loves it . The roof however is not so well constructed and wont stay up...folding back instead. It is made with 2 plastic rods and there is nothing to keep them erect . Ideally they could have slotted into a slot to hold and support the roof. Excellent quality bed. Very soft, comfortable base, removable covers for washing. Hood does not stay up as well as I'd hoped (possibly requires another pole going from front to back on the top of the hood to strengthen it) Overall, a great purchase, great price too.
