Did you know, frequent headaches, nosebleeds, vertigo (dizziness), and tinnitus (constant ringing of the ears) can be signs of high blood pressure?
The only sure-fire way to know is to get your blood pressure checked. A normal reading is 120/80, with a reading of 140/90 considered to be mild hypertension (high blood pressure). Anything over that would be considered clinical hypertension.
Now, you can easily take blood pressure measurements in the comfort of your own home with the Beurer BM44. While optimal adult BP has to be about 120/80, if the top (systolic) pressure is over 135 or the bottom (diastolic) is over 100, you should see your doctor. This also applies to low blood pressure - if your reading is under 90/60 then you are at risk of hypotension, which has symptoms like fainting and nausea.
The beauty of this upper arm blood pressure monitor is it is so simple to use. The single-button-operation feature and its large LCD screen take the complication and uncertainty out of taking your own blood pressure measurements.
Supplied with the professional standard size (22-30 cm) upper arm cuff which inflates and deflates automatically, the Beurer BM44 Blood Pressure Monitor is incredibly accurate and converts your reading in to a colour-coded WHO (World Health Organisation) Classification of Optimal; Normal; High Normal; Mild Hypertension; Moderate Hypertension; or Severe Hypertension.
Before the Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor commences measurement, the large LCD screen will display your previous measurement, making it easy for you to compare and monitor your results.
The clear, easy to read LCD screen also displays other information you need to know, at a glance, including your pulse rate, systolic pressure (maximum pressure in the arteries when the heart contracts), diastolic pressure (minimum pressure in the arteries between heart contractions), your WHO classification, and an irregular heart beat indicator should one be detected. Should this indicator appear frequently, it should be taken as a recommendation to visit your GP.
This high quality Blood Pressure Monitor from Beurer is great value for money and so simple to use. So whether your GP has recommended you keep a check on your blood pressure at home, or you’re the ‘sporty type’ wanting to monitor your fitness level this is great for you.
Your Beurer BM44 Blood Pressure Monitor comes with a full instruction manual containing an easy-to-follow diagnostic table to help you accurately assess your results, a neat storage pouch, self inflating and deflating arm cuff and your required batteries.

Upper Arm and Wrist Measurements, What is the Difference?
We offer a range of both wrist and upper arm blood pressure monitors. Upper arm blood pressure monitors are recommended for older adults and diabetics, whilst our range of wrist BPM’s tend to be more compact, allowing you to take them with you anywhere and get readings quicker and easier. Upper arm BPM’s sit closer to and in line with the heart, so they are the preferred choice by health professionals for their unquestionable accuracy.
