BEAC Med Evo Stim UG Dual Channel Pelvic Floor Trainer
BEAC Med Evo Stim UG Dual Channel is a Pelvic Floor Trainer that uses Neuro Muscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. This high-performance pelvic stimulator is suitable for use with anal and vaginal probes and features:
- 2 independent channels
- LED touch screen
- A user-friendly interface for ease of use by practice-based clinicians and individuals in their own home and is;
- A CE certified (CE 0051) medical device
Pelvic floor stimulation using NMES is a proven and commonly used therapy for all types of incontinence and pelvic floor rehabilitation. Pelvic floor training stimulates the perineal muscles, especially the pubococcygeal and puborectal muscles to strengthen and tone them, helping to prevent pelvic organ prolapse and both faecal and urinary incontinence.
This pelvic floor toner is suitable for use with both:
A ringed probe. These probes have rings of NMES transmitters that wrap around the probe like the Novatys Gold-Plated Double Ring Vaginal and Anal Probe. If using a ringed probe, you should select the Biphasic Symmetrical Pulse waveform setting for optimum results.
A lateral probe. These probes feature NMES transmitters laterally up the side of the probe, like the Kegel8 Glide Gold Vaginal Probe. If using a lateral probe, you should select the alternate biphasic pulse waveform setting for optimum results.

The IntelliSTIM function prevents over stimulation of the muscles that can lead to pain (just like if you over worked your biceps at the gym).
Treating Stress Incontinence with the Evo Stim UG Dual Channel Pelvic Floor Trainer
Stress incontinence is caused by a weakening of the urethral sphincter muscles. When these muscles weaken, leaks become more common when coughing, jogging or running, sneezing, jumping or any other activities that put stress on the abdomen; hence ‘Stress Incontinence’.
To resolve stress incontinence, pelvic floor training should be performed every day for 20 minutes. You can select a stress incontinence programme on your pelvic toner device and let the machine guide you through the exercises. If any pain is felt, the level of electrical pulses should be lowered until you can feel a light tingling but certainly no pain. Pain indicates the muscles are working too hard and you need to start on a lower frequency, before building up your strength.
Treating Urge Incontinence with the Evo Stim UG Dual Channel Pelvic Floor Trainer
Urge incontinence is caused when the detrusor muscle in the wall of the bladder spontaneously contracts, the sufferer having no control over these involuntary contraction feels a frequent urge to pass urine and/or experiences leakages.
Pelvic floor training in the treatment of urge incontinence strengthens the reflex inhibition of the detrusor muscle. The most appropriate frequency for treating urge incontinence is between 5 – 10 Hz with a pulse width of between 250 – 400 microseconds. Exercises should be performed daily for the first week and then 2 to 3 times per week for the next 3 to 4 weeks.
Low frequency level stimulation used in the treatment of urge incontinence does not cause contractions and therefore there are no movements of the external parts of the vaginal probe to be seen. The stimulation is most effective at highest intensity levels. Any discomfort felt by the patient at the early stages of stimulation diminish with time and it is therefore possible to increase the intensity to the therapeutically desirable and more effective high intensity level.
Treating Mixed Incontinence with the Evo Stim UG Dual Channel Pelvic Floor Trainer
Mixed incontinence accounts for around 40% of all urinary incontinence cases. Mixed incontinence is a combination of stress and urge incontinence. The programme for mixed incontinence will target both. Alternatively, you can do 2 programmes per day, one for urge and one for stress incontinence, doing so you may see faster results.
