Yoga Tune Up’s Therapy Balls range is designed to allow you to enjoy targeted self-massage at home and relieve the knots, aches and pains that restrict your movement. The massage balls are made from flexible yet firm rubber that will apply targeted pressure deep into the tissue without nipping or dragging when used around bony areas and joints.
The Alpha Ball is the largest in the Therapy Ball range at 3.5 inches in diameter. Its generous size means it delivers even greater pressure deep through several layers of tissue and it has larger surface area for when you come to rolling it against muscles. It is perfect for large areas of muscle such as the buttocks, hips, thighs and pectorals.
To learn the basics about how you can use your Therapy Balls we recommend you use the Yoga Tune Up Massage Therapy instructional DVD. Although this guides you through routines specifically for the standard Therapy Balls, the principles are the same and you can easily replace them with your Alpha Ball.
Your Alpha Ball will last up to 6 to 12 months depending on how often it is used. It will soften with use, but don’t throw it away when coming to replace it; it’s great to have a few Alpha Balls with different firmness levels. Softer Therapy Balls work brilliantly on soft tissue and bony areas like the wrists, elbows and ankles, whereas newer, firmer balls are great for muscle areas that require deeper pressure.
