The Stork Conception Kit may give you that little push you need to successfully conceive – Storks really do delivery babies!
Trying to conceive can be extremely difficult; the struggle to make a baby can have an effect on your love life and torment you both physically and mentally. In-clinic assisted treatments such as intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilisation (IVF) or clomifene are all options you can take a chance on – if you can afford to take the chance. The Stork conception kit is for the couples who can’t afford in-clinic treatments or would prefer to perform an insemination in the comfort and privacy of their own home.
The Stork conception aid uses cervical cap insemination; this technique has been used by healthcare professionals for decades. The at-home conception kit builds bridges between natural intercourse and in-clinic treatments such as IVF and IUI. Conceiving by using cervical cap insemination has a recorded success rate of around 20%; the same as an IUI (16 – 21%). The Stork enables you to carry out the procedure nice and easy, in the privacy of your own home – bliss!
We understand that there may be complications when it comes to trying to conceive; low sperm count, sperm motility issues, ovulation timing and unfavourable vaginal environment so The Stork can’t guarantee pregnancy, but it is designed to help and assist in pregnancy for those who suffer with these common fertility difficulties.
The Stork Conception Kit includes a cervical cap and inside is a condom-like silicone sheath and a tampon-like applicator that is used to perform the insemination.
Once you have performed the insemination you can continue with your routine as normal; get out of bed and enjoy your day. After 4-6 hours, whichever you choose, remove then dispose of the cap and cross your fingers!
We wish you the best of luck with The Stork Conception Kit – we love successful baby stories!
Ways to improve your chances of conceiving
What’s incredibly important is that you and your partner are fit and healthy; this means you should be eating healthy, ensuring that you are both getting the essential and optimal balance of nutrients from your diet. Overall, you both must maintain a healthy weight, BMI and exercise regularly to try and increase your chances of conceiving.
For the men
Nutrients and vitamins can affect the sperm; antioxidants such as vitamin C and selenium are vital for healthy sperm. Fill yourself up with Brazil nuts, fish, meat, bread and eggs for selenium and eat all those citrusy fruits and vivid coloured vegetables to get your vitamin C.
It has been proven that low levels of zinc can reduce sperm count and lower testosterone levels; rich sources of zinc can be found in shellfish (oysters are your best bet – and they’re an aphrodisiac so fill up on these gems!), wholegrain cereals and nuts. Oily fish such as mackerel and salmon are a great source of omega-3 fats which aid in producing prostaglandins, another essential for making sperm.
We don’t think that having a pint or two after work is bad; but if you’re trying to conceive, alcohol affects sperm quality, and quite badly too. It’s a good idea to give up together, especially if you are already experiencing difficulties. Avoid the binge drinking at the weekend as this can destroy sperm and have an impact on your sex life – trust us, drunk and belching men is not the way forward to make a baby!
Try to exercise every day for at least 30 minutes and incorporate a variety of exercising into it such as weight lifting and cardiovascular – mix it up and have fun!
For the ladies
Even though we really try and steer away from the subject; your body weight can affect your fertility. Those who have little body fat will often experience irregular periods or no periods at all; body fat is required to support a healthy pregnancy, if you’re BMI is incredibly low due to you being very skinny – try gaining weight (it is okay!) it can help to restore your fertility.
Likewise, having too much body fat can lower your fertility too because you don’t ovulate normally. Losing 1 or 2 pounds weekly will really help your chances of conceiving. Avoid crash dieting as you will still need all the nutrients your body needs in order to get pregnant.
Supplements are a great way of improving your chances; you should be taking a 400 microgram folic acid supplement each day and continue to take the supplement until you are 12 weeks pregnant. Eat more foods that contain natural folates like broccoli, avocados and wholegrain bread.
Maintaining a healthy environment for your baby is vital; a pH imbalance can reduce your chances of conceiving or worse miscarriage; BV (Bacterial vaginosis) is a change in the balance of the vaginal bacteria. 15-20% of pregnant women are diagnosed with BV without having symptoms. Using pH swabs to find out your pH can reduce the risks of premature birth, premature rupture of the amniotic sac, fever during childbirth and so much more. Ensure that the home your bundle of joy is growing in is the best it can be – after all, baby will be there for 9 months!
