Replens MD is a hormone free vaginal moisturising gel which provides longer lasting relief from symptoms of vaginal atrophy and dryness, itching, irritation and (where applicable) painful intercourse.
It lubricates the entire vaginal passage and actively moisturises dehydrated cells and one application can last up to 3 days. Replens is available either as a sealed applicator for easy application where you need it most and also in a tube.
Clinical studies have shown that the best results are achieved from regular use, three times a week in the morning. We recommend beginning with 3 applications a week, over time use can be reduced to once a week.
It's not unusal to suffer from vaginal dryness as a result of the menopause, hysterectomy or medication and medical treatments such as radiotherapy, but you can manage the problem and avoid discomfort by using Replens MD regularly.

The applicators made me prone to UTIs even though they were used only the once & careful hygiene is observed.
I just did not get along with this product.
It is actually good at its job, it made me more comfortable during sex but the trade off was too high.
Perhaps the formula could be re-jigged so as to remove the toxic chemicals? (Posted on 22 September 2015)

Yes you can use Replens. You also might like to look at http://www.stressnomore.co.uk/brands/multi-gyn.html this brand helps to both correct the ph level of the vagina, making it more comfortable. If the vaginal level is acidic it is more prone to infection, soreness. This can happens by using certain soaps, after making love (sperm changes the pH level of the vagina) and during infection.
The Multigyn range does not contain parabens, but the Replens product does contain parabens which is a preservative which many users like to steer clear of.
I hope this helps

Thank you so much for your comment. I'm sure you're not doing anything wrong but of course you want to make sure you're getting everything out of the tube. Have you tried rolling the tube (like toothpaste) so that the cream cannot return into the tube?

It sounds as though your internal examination caused a bit of bruising. I am afraid I cannot advise if you should continue to you Replens MD, but it is a light gel and I suspect you had dryness or atrophy that's why your GP prescribed it for you. If you keep the area lubricated the benefit would be when you have a repeat examination you won't suffer like you did with the first examination.
I hope this helps.
