A weak pelvic floor is not inevitable! Get a strong, healthy pelvic floor and become a more confident YOU in just minutes a day - you'll be amazed!
We all know we should do our pelvic floor exercises, so why don’t we? Is it because we haven’t got the time? Are we an exception to the rule and we don’t need to? A recent Kegel8 survey has in fact revealed that 50% of women in the UK don’t know how to do pelvic floor exercise.
Perhaps this is why ‘laughter leaks’ are so common amongst women and even accepted as just part of ageing or becoming a mum. You have two choices; you can ‘pad’ the problem, ignore the odd leak in public and wait for the problem to get worse; or you can take action on these early signs of pelvic floor weakness and take control with the Kegel8 Tight & Tone Plus.
How does the Kegel8 Tight & Tone Plus pelvic floor exerciser work?
It’s simple - the Kegel8 Tight & Tone Plus exercises your pelvic floor for you – targeting the right muscles, in the right way to give you a stronger pelvic floor in just 12 weeks!
The Kegel8 Tight & Tone Plus uses neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) to send electrical pulses deep into the muscles via a vaginal probe; this stimulates the muscles in your pelvic floor to contract which in-turn builds tone and strength, improves circulation to the area and reinvigorates the muscles and nerves.
Kegel8 makes pelvic floor exercises not just easy, but highly effective too; manual pelvic floor exercises (or kegels) target just 40% of the muscle group, while the Kegel8 Tight & Tone Plus can target and impressive 90%!
What does it feel like?
The Kegel8 Tight & Tone Plus has 9 pre-set programmes; these programmes have been clinically designed to target the muscles in different ways, to treat different symptoms. As a result, you’ll experience different sensations with each programme; whether it’s the gentle fluttering of a muscle relaxation programme, the tapping sensation of your muscle nerve stimulation or the contraction of a strong workout – you are always in control of the intensity with the easy-to-use controller with plus (+) and minus (-) buttons.
“I certainly feel the muscles contract and release and it is in no way painful” – Review by Keylimepie
Is the Kegel8 Tight & Tone Plus right for me?
The beauty of the Kegel8 Tight & Tone Plus is, it is right for all women; pelvic floor muscles naturally begin to weaken from around the age of 18. You don’t have to wait for the signs of pelvic floor weakness to start – bladder leaks or a sudden urge to run to the bathroom; Kegel8 Tight & Tone Plus is the perfect way to prevent these symptoms and begin strengthening your pelvic floor as part of a fit and healthy lifestyle.
I already experience leaks
We know that 1 in3 women suffer ‘laughter leaks’ but that doesn’t mean it’s just an inevitable part of life/ageing/childbirth. You’ve probably considered pads or even medication but neither of these options will treat a weak pelvic floor – they will simply mask the signs of the problem! The Kegel8 Tight & Tone Plus targets the cause of embarrassing leaks by strengthening your pelvic floor muscles for a longer-term solution.
I don’t have much feeling ‘down there’
That’s another sign your pelvic floor is weak! It could even be damaged if you’ve been through childbirth. The strength of your pelvic floor muscles relates directly to your intimate sensation and strength of your orgasms so you know what you need to do! If your pelvic floor muscles are weak, they are loose which means nothing feels the same for you… for either of you in fact! In just 12 weeks Kegel8 will strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, giving you more tone, control and sensation during intimacy – and trust us, he’ll notice the difference too!
Is it true my stubborn ‘pot belly’ could be due to weak pelvic floor muscles?
Yup! Your pelvic floor is like a hammock of muscles that reach from your pubic bone, to your coccyx. A strong, healthy pelvic floor can help maintain good posture and helps draw in that stubborn tummy. A weak, saggy pelvic floor can leave us with back ache and a bulging tum.
“One of the enormous advantages I’ve found is I have a flattened stomach and I put it all down to the product [Kegel8]” – Review by Judy

Thank you for your query,
The Tight and Tone is our oldest unit and we would recommend this to users who are looking to maintain the strength of their pelvic floor. This unit has 8 pre-set programs and covers the basics.
The Vitality is our older Ultra model and has 12 pre-set programs including an additional program to help to strengthen your pelvic floor and increase sexual sensitivity at the same time. This is a powerful unit and we recommend this to customers who have mild to moderate problems, looking to maintain/improve the strength of their pelvic floor and increase sexual sensitivity.
The Ultra 20 is our newest and most effective model and this is the unit I would recommend in for you - This unit has 20 pre-set programs, they are based on the latest medical research and it is the most powerful out of the 3 unit so would give you the bets results.
I hope this helps but if you have any further queries, please dont hesitate to contact our customer service team who are always happy to help.
I am sorry you have 'been through the mill' with your weak pelvic floor, and you have paid a high price with your repairs and problems. The buzz word at the moment is 'managing prolapse' helping women to avoid surgery because the failure rates are so high Surgeons and Consultants are unwilling to do more than they have to. It has meant that there is a big lobby of people looking for alternative methods to manage the problems of a weak pelvic floor.
I am wondering if you have a vault prolapse, this is very common with hysterectomy because all the supporting organs ligaments and tissues have been cut away and so it drops down again. Following hysterectomy a woman is 3 x more likely to prolapse. Ironic because hysterectomy is an operation that is performed to combat prolapse.
So I would urge you to exercise and get strong. Obviously you have scarring, considerable amounts after 3 surgeries. It is only just being recognised that this scarring causes pain, deferred pain etc
Getting strong has to be your starting point, together with watching your weight - it puts too much pressure on our weak pelvic floor. Losing 10% of body weight can improve pelvic strength by 50%.

A Kegel8 electronic exerciser will definitely help strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, and help with your rectal prolapse and seepage.
I would recommend the Kegel8 Ultra 20, as it is the latest in the Ultra range, and its programmes are based on the latest clinical trials and medical research. It also works your muscles a lot more effectively and efficiently than older models, like the Tight & Tone.
For example, with the Kegel8 Tight & Tone, to target your rectal muscles, you would have to use an anal probe and specific anal programme; whereas with the Kegel8 Ultra 20, you can target your rectal muscles using a vaginal probe and/or skin electrodes.
This is because the Kegel8 Ultra 20 works deeper in to your pelvic floor muscles.
The Kegel8 Ultra 20 also has two dedicated prolpase programmes; one for Grade 1 and 2 prolapse, and one for Grade 3 and 4.
I hope this helps,
With the Tight & Tone Plus Pelvic Trainer you just get an extra probe. Te programmes are the same and these will be fine for you and help you get the results you need. So go for the Kegel8 Tight & Tone Pelvic Toner and if you want to change your probe in a few months you can do so.
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps

Thank you for your enquiry. The tight and tone is a good basic unit to help increase your pelvic floor but the Ultra Vitality is a stronger unit and will also target your intimate sensation. The Ultra 20 is again a stronger more powerful unit than the 2 previous as it is our most up to date unit,
With dedication and commitment it is possible to regain muscle tone and strength in your pelvic floor.
I've never even thought about pelvic excercises before so this is all very new to me. I had a baby boy 7 months ago and have noticed a massive change down there, thing is I don't have an issue when it comes to the bladder side of things my issue is when me and my partner have sex (witch isn't very often since I've had bubba) I just don't enjoy it anymore and feel that he doesn't either. I done what u thought to be pelvic excercises until my little one was just over 3 months but noticed no change what so ever down below. It's becoming a massive burdon on me and really getting me down :( I'm only 23 so kinda dumbly expected everything to just go back to normal itself :/ I was hoping someone could give me some advice on what model would be best for me as I've spoken to a few friends an they seem very adamant that this kinda stuff is a waste of money! I'm willing to try anything that will show me some fast improvements just maybe something a little less pricey :)
Don't worry - sensation will be returned, but it is a gradual thing, and sadly not something that many women get told about.
Just give this little gizmo 12 weeks and you will be amazed - I guarantee. It will improve muscle tone, your sensation and that of your partner.
Have a look at this too http://www.kegel8.co.uk/blog/2014/03/10/the-4-best-kept-secrets-to-keeping-your-pelvic-floor-strong/
Also - please make sure you gently watch your weight - difficult time I know, but as you slowly regain your shape your will get stronger and excess weight is really bad for weakening the pelvic floor and making it less sensitive.
Please don't get down about it, your body will click back into place with a little targeted work from you - don't be hard on yourself!

Either this Tight and Tone or the Ultra 20 will help to get your pelvic floor back 'feeling' again. 3 babies will have taken their toll, and with the reduced muscle tone, you'll also have less sensation, its the 'friction' (in a nice way) that brings about the pleasure both for you and your husband, so if he can't feel that he could probably lose his erection, and if you can't feel it, you will have problems reaching orgasm. This is so devastating and demoralising for lots of couples, but a common problem.
By strengthening your pelvic floor you will also be looking after your bladder and bowel health as well as helping to prevent problems associated with weakness such as bladder leaks and incontinence.
We'd recommend a 12 week daily exercise - you can do it in bed and 12 weeks will last you ages and both you and your Hubby will really notice. Please do this now to get strong and to prevent further deterioration, it will make a big difference to you both.

Thank you for your enquiry. I will hopefully be able to clarify for you our different units and their uses. Our Ultra 20 is our top of the range unit that is ideal for ladies that are suffer from Prolapse and/or severe incontinence. It comes with a nickel free probe which is the best solution for anyone suffering a nickel allergy. It also has external electrode pads that can be used if you are unable or choose not to use the internal probe. It has 20 preset programmes for targeting the correct muscles for urge or stress incontinence, over active bladder mild and moderate prolapse, intimate sensation, bowel incontinence and general pelvic floor workouts.
Our Ultra Vitality is our most popular unit for ladies. It has 12 preset programmes for targeting your pelvic floor, incontinence and intimacy sensation. It comes with our most popular probe.
The tight and tone models are older models and have 9 preset programmes. The tight and tone plus comes with 2 probes whereas the original tight and tone comes with one.
Our Mother nurture model is primarily for pre conception and labour, utilising the tens feature.
The Biofeedback Pelvic Trainer is a manual device that will allow you to see how tightly you are squeezing your pelvic floor muscles but this is for you to monitor how well you do the exercises manually, the electrode pads or probes will not work with this as it is not intended for this purpose.
We only recommend the Ultra 20 for ladies that are suffering prolapse or severe incontinence as this unit will be the most beneficial. If your issues or concerns are not quite as severe the Vitality may be the solution for you. Most of our manuals are also available online to download to have a read through prior to purchase so that you can see if this is right for you. Building your pelvic floors muscles is vitally important and takes patience and dedication. We recommend using the kegel8 unit once a day for 12 weeks before progressing to twice a day to truly work those muscles. Your pelvic floor can get extremely tired at the beginning of the new exercise regime as they are not used to the extra stimulus.
The reviews on our website will hopefully help to also guide you in making the right decision for you.
If there is any further help or advice that we can help you with please feel free to contact us either by email, telephone or live chat through our website.

Thank you for your enquiry. The tight and tone doesn't have the specified programme set for helping with bowel incontinence so we would recommend either the Ultra 20 unit to you http://www.kegel8.co.uk/kegel8-ultra.html or the Ultra Vitality http://www.kegel8.co.uk/kegel8-ultra-vitality.html. The Ultra 20 can be utilised with either an internal probe or with external skin electrodes and the Vitality with only a probe. Both units provide incredible results for weak pelvic floors, strengthening and improving muscle tone with committed and dedicated routine.
The website offers great Q&A's from customers and advisors to help answer a multitude of frequently answered questions.
Customer Service Team
I occasionally have leakage when i sneeze and haven't urinated for quite a while, so overall i don't think i am too bad, but i think using the machine will only improve things?
I see that you say initially to use twice a day. unfortunately i start work at 7.00am daily and i am not home till 17.30, so i feel a morning session will be out of the question, apart from weekends. Could you please advise how i could use the device initially, could i use early evening and then later in the evening or is this not medically advised?
Please help as i would really like to improve my pelvic floor.
Many thanks in anticipation
Twice a day for 12 weeks will get you strong. Set your alarm earlier, and do a second programme at night in bed. Its only 12 weeks and you need to strengthen up, then you will be able to drop down to 2 - 3 times a week.
It is a short amount of time to devote to your pelvic floor and you will really benefit and stop the leaks in no time.
You can do i programme a day, but twice a day is slightly better.
Its only 12 weeks!
Hope this helps
Customer Care Team
Ideally twice a day when you are in intensive training (the 12 week period), thereafter to maintain the improvement you have made you should aim for 3 - 4 times a week - just once a day, but the main thing is not to forget and let the good work you have done lapse.
Hope this helps.
Please accept my apologies, I have just realised when I replied yesterday I wrongly read that you had the Kegel8 Ultra 20, which has different programme numbers and different programmes. Please find below the correct programmes you should use.
As you have just started using the Kegel8 Tight & Tone, I would recommend doing one programme once a day, for the first few weeks, so that your muscles get used to being exercised without being overworked. After a few weeks I would then increase this to twice a day; once in the morning and once in the evening, so you are still giving your muscles a nice long rest in between.
To help with your incontinence I would use Programme 3; to strengthen and tighten your vaginal walls I would use Programme 7. I would also highly recommend using Programme 8, which is the overall pelvic floor workout; this programme works all of your pelvic floor muscles, and as they all support each other, this is really helpful programme.
I would create a pattern of these three programmes, so for example, Day 1, use Programme 3; Day 2 use Programme 7 and Day 3 use Programme 7, and repeat. When you increase to doing two programmes a day, I would still follow the same pattern, so Morning 1 use Programme 3, Evening 1 use Programme 7, Morning 2 use Programme 8, Evening 2 use Programme 3, etc.
I hope this helps,
