If you're one of the millions of women with stress incontinence try Contrelle Activguard!
Inserted into the vagina, Contrelle Activguard gives back the bladder control you once had, allowing you to confidently lead a full and active life.
Contrelle Activgard is an innovative way to alleviate the symptoms of stress incontinence. When the pelvic floor has weakened, there is a slight fall to the bladder. The angle of the neck of the bladder alters meaning that the pelvic floor muscles are no longer as efficient when put under sudden stress like coughing, sneezing, laughing or even exercise.
Contrelle Activgard has been designed so that when placed into the vagina it lifts the bladder to correct the angle of the neck of the bladder and prevent or reduce leaks. And the great thing about Contrelle Activgard is you can still urinate normally without having to remove the Contrelle Activgard.
This pessary is made from soft, moulded foam plastic which, when insertedv unfolds to give the bladder a gentle support. It's as easy to use as a tampon and cannot be felt or seen. Some women may experience a little discomfort at first but this is not unusual nor likely to be permanent.
Contrelle Activgard is safe and comfortable to use and is designed not to absorb the natural moisture of the vaginal mucosa which can cause dryness, imbalance or infections.
This handy product can be used during exercise and is for singular use only. Each pack contains 30 insertables and is available in three sizes; we recommend you start with the smallest until you find the size that feels most comfortable. You may wish to try the Starter Pack which contains one of each size to find the correct one for you.

- sizing is essential, then they work brilliantly Review by Miffy7
Lesson learned. They are brilliant though, should be on the NHS (Posted on 5 May 2016)
- Best on Market Review by Rene
It is pricey, especially with shipment charges to US, and the large size seems to be a challenge to find lately.
I would love for the product to be marketed in the US.

- Work well - why not VAT free as standard? Review by Jen
I do think though that they should automatically not carry VAT because they are mostly - I presume for women with an existing medical condition - they look very expensive with VAT.
Thank you for your feedback, we too love Contrelle Pessaries, they are a great option for many women giving support and confidence when needed. We have to display the VAT price because these are not only available VAT free to those who qualify living in the UK. We urge as many UK buyer as possible to purchase free from VAT if they qualify. Sadly our German and French buyers have to pay the VAT I am afraid.
Hope that helps

- Easy to use Review by Josie K
I was recommended them by my sister in law who is Danish, her Physio swears by them. I read up on operations and surgical procedures but decided to try and sort the problem myself rather than resorting to surgery. So glad I did after the recent scares abut TVT mesh, it so easily could have been me. (Posted on 25 October 2012)
Contrelle Activgard vaginal pessary would be ideal for you to try. Try a sample pack to get the sizing right first this is very important.

This would usually be a personal preference however value for you money would suggest the Contofirm as the better option.
Some ladies also find this easier to insert, although we would always recommend the starter pack to make sure the right size is used.
