For easy and discreet stress incontinence management choose Contam!

Incontinence can really make life difficult – having to constantly think about whether you’ll wet yourself creates a huge amount of worry and embarrassment that can stop you from living life to the fullest. The treatment options available for incontinence don’t help with this, as wearing pads and diapers can make you feel really self-conscious. Pessaries are an effective way of treating both incontinence and prolapse, but they can be difficult to insert and use. Contam have come up with a much easier solution by combining the simple effectiveness of a stress incontinence pessary with the familiarity of tampons.

Contam Normal is a bullet-shaped pessary for stress incontinence. It sits in the vagina just like a tampon and its specially designed shape raises the vaginal wall, shutting the urethra enough to prevent involuntary loss of urine. You will still be able to urinate normally but can go about your day without worrying about leaks, all completely discreetly; no more dressing to conceal bulky pads! The Contam Normal also activates your pelvic floor muscles, subtly strengthening them throughout the day to help further reduce your symptoms.

How to use Contam pessaries

contam diagram

  • Wash your hands thoroughly and remove the pessary from its bag
  • Soak the pessary in warm water for about 1 minute, then gently squeeze. It will become soft and elastic.
  • Contam pessaries are inserted in the same way as menstrual tampons, so find a comfortable position on the toilet or with a leg raised

For incontinence: insert the pessary deep into your vagina, then pull it back slightly so that it’s within reach of your fingers
For prolapse: insert the pessary as deeply as possible into your vagina to support your uterus

  • If you find insertion uncomfortable or difficult, try using a vaginal moisturiser such as Gynomunal or Regelle
  • Make sure that the removal thread is always outside of your vagina, as with a standard tampon
  • To remove, gently pull on the removal thread. The pessary can either be washed and re-used or disposed of in the bin

Suitable for multiple uses

Contam pessaries can be used for up to a week by washing them after each removal. To clean your pessary, either boil it for 3-10 minutes or place it into the washing machine at 60 degrees. Then either leave it to dry naturally or store it in a bowl of water ready for the next insertion.

Relief at last!! Review by Suziemac
Product Rating
I have third level prolapse and I've been experiencing bladder spasms and leakage as a result. The spasms were very painful and yielded very little if any urine at times. Desperate for relief I went in search of non-surgical solutions and I came across the Stressnomore website. I read through the reviews on the Contam tampon style pessary and it sounded promising so I ordered an 'extra plus' size as I wanted to make sure it was a tight fit. Once softened in water it was easy to insert deeply into the vagina and it is functioning like a dream. Being able to urinate without pain is a godsend, and having my organs back where they belong is heaven. I am delighted with the result and will continue using them. It's nice to feel normal again. I highly recommend giving them a try. (Posted on 8 July 2016)

Fantastic , comfortable & effective! Review by Runner
Product Rating
This is an excellent product for use if you leak during high impact activities . I had full protection against leakage during running -felt secure so not worried about falling out, comfortable to wear, easy to insert , I definitely recommend trying. (Only down-side is thst disposal / replacement is recommended after 7 days but I'm going to steam sterilise to prolong shelf life as single use is cost prohibitive ) (Posted on 13 August 2016)

Excellent. Been looking for something like this for years. It doesn't fall out like the Incostress and it adds the right amount of bulk to stop the leaks.
Delighted. (Posted on 5 May 2016)

Works but pricey Review by The moo

I found this does seem to work for me I'm 45 and have had 4 kids but do a lot of full on exercise, tuck jumps are a particular favourite but lose bladder control. I've tried this for a class and it did seem to work although it slipped s bit but didn't fall out so thumbs up so far, it's expensive though for a bit of flimsy plastic with string but possibly worth it to save the embarrassment and help me achieve my mad fitness goals! Product Questions

which are bigger/wider - super plus or extra?
Is it normal for them to be quite difficult to remove? Worried I might do some damage pulling it out?? Or is that a sign it's too big?
Can you use a lubricant to insert the pessary? If so, what kind?
Hello, at my consultant appointment I was told I have cystosolee (prolapse of bladder). I was told I would get appointment for a group pelvic floor therapy in a month or so , but my prolapse is now so uncomfortable and the bulge is so distressing. I need to know if your pessary are suitable for my type of prolapse?, as I can only see references to uterine prolapse in what I have read in your article. If so I will order asap! I have bought ordinary tampons to try but so far havnt as I am scared I may do more harm. I am 58 .
