Sick of those pesky dust mites?
We all strive to keep on top of our cleaning, right? After all, no-one wants to live in a dirty home. However, even the most anal amongst us is bound to experience the odd unwelcome guest from time to time. Of course, the ones we are referring to are dust mites. And when we say ‘odd’, we mean thousands.
Think you’re far too clean to suffer with dust mites? It only takes 1 gram of dust to house up to 19,000 of the little creatures. Dust mites feed on dead skin. The average adult sheds approximately 1.5 grams per day, which is enough to feed a million of the creepy crawlies. More than 12 million people in the UK suffer with allergies as a result of them. Allergy UK refers to this as “home fever”, and symptoms are somewhat similar to that of hay fever. Obvious indications may be a runny nose, itchy eyes and sneezing. However, even if you have difficulty waking up in the morning, feel groggy and generally unwell, or lack concentration, it could be that these creatures are causing you more bother than you realise.
You may think that the only way to counteract this problem is to clean more. However, typical cleaning procedures could actually make the problem worse. Dust can be propelled into the air, only to settle on other surfaces or grip to fabrics. Additionally, cleaning products may do little to wipe it out completely. This is because it is made up of so many different substances. It may surprise you to learn that dust, along with its little friends, can actually make its way into our bedding. This has the potential to wreak havoc on our health.
Dust mites are naturally repelled by fabrics with bamboo in them. This makes Boo Living the perfect choice. You can be confident that you’ll get just the right amount of sleep, wake up feeling refreshed and feel fit and healthy as you prepare to start your day.
Make pests a thing of the past!
Wake up to the benefits of bamboo
Not only does bamboo bedding gently caress your body for the best night’s sleep of your life, it also carries with it numerous health benefits and is the eco-friendly option. Wake up feeling refreshed each and every morning, ready to tackle the challenges of the day ahead.
Bamboo is sustainable, requires no pesticides/chemicals to grow, absorbs more carbon dioxide from the air than cotton does and releases more oxygen. Not only does the fact that it requires no fertilisers to grow mean that it is eco-friendly, it also means that it is safer than fabric constructed using cotton alone. Cotton needs the extensive use of chemicals to grow. Scarily these chemicals can be retained within the fabric and have the potential to be absorbed by our skin at night. Bedding crafted using bamboo eliminates this worry.
Antibacterial, antifungal and hypoallergenic, bamboo is safe and gentle even against the most sensitive skin. It is, therefore, the perfect solution for those with allergies or skin conditions, including eczema. It is also thermo-regulating and moisture wicking, meaning that it will keep you at just the right temperature all year round. Additionally, because it doesn’t harbour bacteria, you’ll feel as though you’re going to sleep in freshly washed sheets each and every night.
Don’t be envious of others getting a good night’s sleep; go green!

- lovely quality Review by Sari
I wanted new bedding to help my body breathe (Body temperature thing) and I looked at natural solutions, namely bamboo and sheep's wool. I was sent a sample of English sheep wool and whilst it was nice, and natural and ticked all my eco boxes, it smelled of sheep. The lanolin type aroma was on the wool and quite strong and I am afraid I couldn't imagine going to be with something so odourous.
This is lovely, it doesn't bunch and is very comfortable. Warmth and usability are top class, so too is breatheability. (Posted on 6 February 2015)
- Disappointed Review by K
I'd like to know if it's bamboo fiber or bamboo viscose fiber, given that viscose is not a natural product
