The bathroom is the most dangerous room in the house; make it more safe with suction handles from Ideaworks!

We’ve all had that slip when we’ve stepped into the bath tub; most of us are able to save ourselves from a messy fall, more vulnerable people like the elderly or those with limited mobility need suction handles to get in and out of the bath. But we can all benefit from having that extra safety in our bathrooms, because a slip or fall can happen to any of us, right?

Did you know that bathrooms are the most dangerous room in the house? The bathroom is the scene of 70% of home accidents, with 1 in 3 seniors aged 65 or over fall every year from slippery surfaces and with no suction handles to grab onto to save them or to help them get in and out of the bathroom. That’s just the elderly, but slips and trips like these can lead to hip fractures, leg and arm injuries and what’s worse is that they can happen to anyone! One slip up can lead to something very painful and fatal. Isn’t the bathroom meant to be a place of serenity? Somewhere for you to relax?

Now the Ideaworks team have come to the rescue; they have designed support and safety that everyone from any age can use. Avoid those slips when stepping into a deep bath tub and the trips when pulling yourself up. These suction handles avoid horrible bathroom disasters and can be placed wherever you may need help in the bathroom; doors, walls and tiles. The Super Grip Suction Mount guarantees optimum bathroom safety for you and your family.

Are you worried about drilling the holes into your bathroom tiles to assemble your suction handles? You needn’t worry! The suction mounted handle can be attached without having to get your tool box out! Because it’s easy to assemble, it’s just as easy to take down. If you’re travelling or going on holiday, you can take the suction handles with you so you don’t have to worry about what facilities they have.

You can rest assured that you’ll avoid slips and falls thanks to this suction handle's indicator; the colour change technology lets you know when the handle is applied correctly with maximum adhesion, so you can trust the gripper will not budge when you need it most.

A nonslip mat in the bath/shower is vital, and I make DH take his phone with him so that he can ring me if he needs me. If not, he has his privacy and independence.

A fold down shower seat is very useful no matter how old you are and stops you slipping around when you rinse off.

Use carpet tiles in the bathroom, they grip and can be easily replaced, so no slips

Use a mat in the bath and a bath board if you have bad knees and Fibro like me!

Check regularly that bath mats aren't frayed or damaged - always use a non-slip mat in the bath or shower
