Protect your heart whilst ensuring optimal results from your training with the Beurer PM18 Heart Rate Monitor.
This Beurer PM18 Heart Rate Monitor requires no chest strap, but measures the human pulse via finger sensors. By means of various settings, you can support your individual training programme and monitor your heart rate throughout.
With this heart rate monitor you can observe your heart rate and set a training zone corresponding to your training objectives with upper and lower limits to ensure you get the best results from your exercise regime. An exact ECG heartbeat is calculated and displayed without having to wear a chest strap. Simply strap the stylish monitor to your wrist and touch the sensor with your index finger or thumb. Your heart rate is determined ECG-exact within just a few seconds!
The Beurer PM18 Heart Rate Monitor is ideal for any exercise; walking, running, hiking; and will calculate your calories consumed as well as fat burned during your training session. What’s more, the integrated activity sensor provides an over-view of your daily movements and calculates your number of paces, the amount of time taken, total distance covered and average speed. The Beurer PM18 Heart Rate Monitor is waterproof (50m) and thus suitable for use when swimming. However you must not press any buttons in the water.
Your Beurer PM18 comes with an extensive user guide which also includes great information on keeping safe and healthy during exercise. It even includes an easy-to-follow table guide of what heart rate you should hope to achieve dependent on the results you are wanting from your training session.
In addition to ECG, activity, calorie consumption and fat burning monitoring, the PM18 Heart Rate Monitor offers functions such as displaying the time and date, a calendar, alarm clock, hourly signal, stopwatch and count-down timer.

- average Review by beefie

No it does not give an average heartbeat. You would need a chest-strap for continual monitoring to be able to do that so instead look at the Beurer PM 25 http://www.stressnomore.co.uk/beurer-pm25-sports-heart-rate-monitor-82164.html or the Beurer PM45 http://www.stressnomore.co.uk/beurer-pm45-heart-rate-moniter-92996.html
To register your heartbeat with the this model you need to touch the screen whilst exercising - obviously you can monitor your levels, but it does not give an average.
Yes there is a training zone proposal on this monitor.
You'll find the product instruction leaflets at the bottom of each product page under the heading 'Details' you might find this extra information and a background as to how you can use these monitors helpful and help you to get the monitor that is best for your needs.

Yes the manufacturers have said that this is not a problem.
An increase in sweating can affect the reading because sweat can impair the contact to give an accurate reading, but for normal, non-gym use this is not a problem.
Hope this helps
I am afraid that non of these are full time wearable, they are for monitoring. they are great for helping a user monitor at home and could help you to keep an eye on your blood pressure levels and monitor if they are falling to low levels and you fall into the 'black out' danger zone.
hope this helps
Customer Care Team
On checking further I find that the manufacturers state that 'This HR monitor is waterproof (50m) and thus suitable for use
when swimming. However you must not press any buttons in the water.'
I hope this helps answer your question.
No, the Beurer measures blood pressure only.
There used to be a model that measured Blood pressure and blood sugar levels but it was discontinued a number of years ago, so I am afraid I cannot recommend a product in this range to help.
