Compact, quick and easy; take your blood pressure whenever, wherever with the Beurer BC44 Blood Pressure Monitor.
The beauty of this wrist blood pressure monitor is it is so simple to use. Easily strapped to your wrist, the single-button-operation feature and its large LCD screen take the complication and uncertainty out of taking your own blood pressure measurements.
Mounted on its own wrist cuff which inflates and deflates automatically, the Beurer BC44 Blood Pressure Monitor is incredibly accurate and converts your reading in to a colour-coded WHO (World Health Organisation) Classification of Optimal; Normal; High Normal; Mild Hypertension; Moderate Hypertension; or Severe Hypertension.
Before the intelligent Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor commences measurement, the large LCD screen will display your previous measurement, making it easy for you to compare and monitor your results.
The clear, easy to read LCD screen also displays other information you need to know, at a glance, including your pulse rate, systolic pressure (maximum pressure in the arteries when the heart contracts), diastolic pressure (minimum pressure in the arteries between heart contractions), and your WHO classification. The Beurer BC44 also has an irregular heart beat indicator, should one be detected, turning this device into your own personal heart rate monitor. Should this indicator appear frequently, it should be taken as a recommendation to visit your GP.
Keep an eye on hypertension and monitor your blood pressure levels quickly and easily - in the comfort of your own home!
This high quality Blood Pressure Monitor from Beurer is great value for money and so simple to use. So whether your GP has recommended you keep a check on your blood pressure at home, or you’re the ‘sporty type’ wanting to monitor your fitness level this is great for you.
Your Beurer BC44 Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor comes with a full instruction manual containing an easy-to-follow diagnostic table to help you accurately assess your results, a neat storage case, self inflating and deflating wrist cuff and your required batteries.
If you suffer with frequent headaches, nosebleeds, vertigo (dizziness), and tinnitus (constant ringing of the ears) please be aware that these can be signs of high blood pressure, but the only sure-fire way to know is to get it checked. A normal reading is 120/80, with a reading of 140/90 considered to be mild hypertension. Anything over that would be considered clinical hypertension.
You can easily check your blood pressure at home. While optimal adult BP has to be about 120/80, if the top (systolic) pressure is over 135 or the bottom (diastolic) is over 100, you should see your doctor.
What is low blood pressure?
The dangers of high blood pressure are well known, but your blood pressure can be too low as well - this is known as hypotension. A reading of below 90/60 indicates that you have hypotension; some of the symptoms of low blood pressure include nausea, dizziness and fainting. If you are regularly experiencing these symptoms it's important to monitor your blood pressure, as if it gets severely low you can go into shock and lose consciousness.

- Satisfied with this device Review by Cary
- Quick and easy to perform even for beginners. Review by Mrs K
The display is large, well laid out and clearly legible. The display is clear and well suited for seniors and laid out in a logical easy to follow form. Would be good for those with visual impairment. A simple device, looks good so if you are looking for a simple and easy-to-use device you're in good hands with the BC 44. Two points deduction is because the measured results can be rather imprecise, so 3 out of 5 points. (Posted on 5 February 2015)
